Project Overview

The ADNOC B20/B21 barges are  flat-top, multi-purpose cargo vessels built in 2024 by Premier Marine Engineering Services LLC for ADNOC Logistics and Services. Designed to support offshore Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) operations, the barge features a robust steel structure with an overall length of approximately 250 feet (76 meters) and is classed by American Bureau of Shipping. Its open deck configuration allows for flexible cargo handling, making it suitable for transporting heavy equipment, modules, and construction materials required for oil and gas projects. The vessel operates under the UAE flag and reflects modern shipbuilding standards aligned with international safety and quality requirements.

Engineered for durability and operational efficiency, the B20/B21 barge incorporates reinforced deck structures capable of handling high load capacities, along with essential systems such as ballast control for stability and secure towing and mooring arrangements. As part of a broader fleet development program by ADNOC, the vessel plays a key role in enhancing offshore logistics capabilities within the region. Its construction also highlights the growing capacity of local shipyards in delivering complex marine assets, supporting the UAE’s strategic vision of strengthening domestic maritime infrastructure and industrial expertise.

The ADNOC B03, B04, B05, and B06 barges are part of a new generation of flat-top, multi-purpose cargo barges constructed to support offshore operations for ADNOC Logistics and Services. These vessels are designed primarily for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities, enabling the transport of heavy modules, equipment, and materials required for offshore oil and gas developments. Similar to later units such as B20, the barges feature robust steel hull construction, large open cargo decks, and reinforced structures suitable for high deck load capacities. Their design emphasizes operational flexibility, allowing them to be deployed across a wide range of offshore logistics tasks, including material handling, project support, and infrastructure development.

Engineered to meet stringent industry and classification standards, these barges are equipped with essential marine systems such as ballast control for stability, towing and mooring arrangements, and heavy-duty deck fittings to ensure safe offshore operations. As part of ADNOC’s broader fleet expansion strategy, these vessels contribute to enhancing offshore production efficiency and logistics capabilities across UAE fields, aligning with the company’s long-term goal of increasing energy output and operational reliability. Multi-purpose barges of this class play a critical role in supporting maintenance, construction, and offshore field activities, reflecting ADNOC’s continued investment in modern, high-capacity marine assets.
