Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Third Engineer – Mechanical with experience in SCADA systems to support the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems across marine vessels and port equipment. The role involves assisting senior engineers in maintaining engines, pumps, auxiliary machinery, and monitoring control systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Chief and Second Engineer in daily engine room operations
- Operate and maintain main engines, auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems
- Monitor and operate SCADA systems to supervise mechanical and process equipment
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure timely resolution
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities
- Maintain engine room logs, SCADA reports, and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Support dry docking, inspections, and overhaul activities
- Coordinate with electrical and control teams when required
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering
- 3–8 years of experience in marine, port, or offshore operations
- Hands-on experience with engines and rotating equipment
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with safety and operational standards in marine environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of engine automation systems
